Just a short one this time. I’ve been pretty busy in the real world. I’ll be moving house again in the near future. The Unity tutorial I was working on has taken a back seat to one of the Blender training DVD’s that I bought. The Unity tutorial was going into some more advanced Blender concepts such as rigging. I decided I could work on my Blender skills.
I’ve also been using the tablet. It was hard getting used to, but it turns out, there are some neat shortcuts that you can use with the pens on the tablet. It solved my three button mouse issue! Lance; I do have a scroll wheel on my mouse, but the ‘click’ doesn’t seem to acknowledge as a button press. Never mind, all is well.
The first project I’m working on is making a semi-trailer using only Blender primitives (cubes, spheres, cylinders etc). I’ll use my prior learning to texture this model as well.
Learning how to use a tablet will be useful down the road when I want to transfer my pencil-and-paper drawing over to computer form.
